I think every trans person on this website should drop everything and read this immediately. Some of the worst social media backlash I've had lately has come from trans people who are mad at me for telling trans people not to panic over the current political situation.

AFAIK the Boston Globe ran a story about a struggling lesbian bar in MA that lifted it's strict masking policy in an attempt to gain more patrons, after which many of the regulars lashed out at them on Insta, leading to a barrage of death threats against the owner & accusations of ableism.

I'm experiencing it too. Most of my game library is on PS5 and it's expensive to move over, especially since my PC isn't amazing, I havent had an Xbox since the og, and I still haven't been given a good enough reason to buy a Switch 2. But if I don't make those moves, then I am part of the problem

Sorry to say it, but if you truly want Sony to budge, the only way to do it is for current PS5 owners to get out of their ecosystem and move to Xbox, Nintendo, or PC. They might be lost causes and dig their heels further, sure. But a "blackout" won't do shit.

If you did have a PS5 already, well good luck on switching to Xbox or Nintendo or PC when the lowest cost entry models are still 3/4 of a month's rent. They are banking on hardware being so expensive that the short term player losses will eventually come back.

I said as much in the replies, but the anti-trans movement's successes in the UK have led me to question centralized national healthcare systems in a way I hadn't previously. That's not to say the US system can be defended - it's awful for everyone, more expensive, lower quality, just terrible.
