no, she’s the wolf from a 4th or 5th century mosaic depicting the founding of Rome
The she-wolf who nurtured Romulus and Remus, depicted in mosaic form as a maniacal black dog with sharp teeth and white eyes.
My dog, bearing an uncanny resemblance to the maniacal mosaic wolf.

We have *six days* left until the Academy of Natural Sciences, North America's oldest Natural History museum, is scheduled to close it's doors. Here are *six reasons* why we cannot - and will not- let that happen.

Really interesting! I have read neither book and don't know what scholarship existed on the topic before Cleves's book, but I wonder if the very fact that the relationship happened and is worth a full-length book of piecing it together is what she feels ownership of.

Who fucked up the calendar so October is the tenth month, not the eighth month, and WHY. (It was not Caesar or Augustus!!! That is not what happened! If anyone replies with that I am going to lose my mind.)

My thoughts on Nolan's The Odyssey - it showed respect for the source material, which is what I'm basically looking for. I was a bit baffled by one of the main themes and of course they had to change stuff about Odysseus to make him not as much of a HUGE JERK. It was a version of the story for today

I think a lot lately about how communication and understanding is an inherent problem for hierarchies. The person filling the pothole actually understands what they need in order to fill potholes, and the mayor almost certainly doesn't. Genuine interaction between top and bottom is huge.
