My conclusion is basically Zeus is a hetero dick (literally and figuratively), Poseidon is a queer monster fucker (*), and Hades is waving a solitary flag for monogamy (post kidnapping of his future wife obv) (*)technically most of his lovers are human shaped but most of his offspring aren't

The kindest word I came up with for the people and the media who hounded him —because I get the sense that Jason Arday was, above all, kind— is "deplorable". It makes me furious all over again, to contemplate all that such people and media have taken from the world. How best to channel that fury?

This shit right here. Example: The Spanish colloquialism “ojalá” (meaning “hopefully”) derives, by way of Old Castilian, (“oxalá”) from “inshallah.” This usage dates back to 1424, and demonstrates Arabic’s lasting influence on Spain — well after the so-called Islamic Golden Age of Al Andalus.

I know it’s a weird thing to say. But I saw both Labyrinth and Legend in the theater when I was 7 and I was never the same human again as I was before. Those movies came out two months apart, by the way. Nobody asked 1986 to go as hard as it did. 1986 didn’t give a fuck it came to party.

Somehow, the world is brutal enough that I still eat meat even though I make a point of thinking about what died and how it died, for every meal I prepare or eat. The way we treat plants we grew for food isn't great.

Reposted this earlier and belatedly realised it didn't have alt text. That's fixed now. Honestly, folks, add alt text. Doesn't take long at all. It doesn't have to be super detailed, just enough to explain what the image is. You can set a toggle in settings to remind you to do it.
A wanted poster dated 1911 issued from the office of the Chief of Police of San Francisco. A bounty of $10 is offered for Susie Whitman, aged 16, is offered for her arrest on a charge of "incorrigibility." The poster's heading is, indeed, "Incorrigible Girl Wanted," which makes it sound like a job vacancy, but never mind. There's a formal picture of Miss Whitman, sporting a sort of cloche hat that absolutely dwarfs her head. I have no idea what became of her, but I hope things worked out for her.

Coffee bags, one is Tom of Finland with a Tom of Finland image on it. The other is Moomin with a Moomin leaning on a blueberry. More details: in the photograph of two "Art Roast" coffee bags on the shelf of a store with prices in euros. One of the bags is large and black and says HEAVY DUTY dark roast coffee beans, exclusive blend by Robert [I can't read it, it's in script]. The other is blue and says Blueberry coffee.

A glass of Norman pommeau to celebrate the season. In the background a Christmas tree, an antique mirror, a proper pendulum clock that needs winding up every seven and a half days and is accurate to within two or three calendar months, and a load of tentacles. This house is ridiculously on brand.
