Poor communities threatened by aging sewers see crucial aid slashed under Trump
Deep funding cuts under President Donald Trump will make it more difficult for struggling communities to get help to fix sewer systems that put health and homes at risk.

This is just the second relocation of a capital of a large country due to climate change and that is two too many. Indonesia moved its capital from Jakarta to Nusantara due to rising sea levels. Should we expect this to become a common occurrence?

The Post (me and @kcrowebasspro.bsky.social) analyzed the social media posts and appearances of prominent politicians across the country. We found that no one is talking about climate change anymore. In 2025, mentions are 60% lower than in 2024. www.washingtonpost.com/climate-envi...
This bar chart shows a decrease in mentions of 'climate' since a peak in August 2022, when Congress passed the Inflation Reduction Act.

A 🧵 on 🚰 : For years, @dcwater.bsky.social rarely shut off water at residential buildings for unpaid bills. Why? Because it would impact many tenants, and many buildings have a single water meter in the name of the owner. This spring, the policy changed.
