I would absolutely hate being in a position where I had to receive oral briefings and reports. I can read and comprehend writing so much faster and more efficiently than listening to someone trying and failing to give an entertaining oral presentation, so the latter would be wasting my time.

I quite frankly think it's mind boggling that anyone would want to receive a large amount of especially technical information orally rather than in writing, but then many people hate having to read anything and will simply refuse to do it if at all possible.

Sometimes people ask me about my philosophy on learning languages and I just say that one of my best friends was a Czech guy who practiced his English before immigrating to the US after high school by watching Johnny Bravo, and that was delightful for everyone constantly, so I say do like that.

ADHD is one of the few conditions in the DSM where the symptoms are not described in terms of how the person with the condition suffers, but it terms of how much it annoys their parents and teachers. I mention this for no particular reason.
