Just incredible news on reviving Voyager I. Think of it: a computer chip 15 billion(!) miles away is broken. The solution is to repackage & move key software, w/ code sent via radio signal that takes 22+ hrs to reach that little 46yr old machine. AND IT IS WORKING. blogs.nasa.gov/voyager/2024...

lasagna bolognese
This decadent, cozy Lasagne Bolognese is a twenty-layer striation of noodles, ragu, béchamel and cheese, and it’s worth every step because it’s the highest calling of lasagna.

Until Roberts SCOTUS took a don't involve yourself in politics in any form. They were mute. If you Google Justices before Roberts it's all about the rulings, nothing personal. Scillia & Ginsburg attending the opera together was as risqué as it got. Liberals hold that line.

Okay, more numbers. 8B universal income -119B SNAP or -16.5B TANF or -90B HUD It could be some combo of food, welfare, or housing. How are those numbers. BTW $500 is not enough to make an impact on changing how we live. Think, if you get this money what would you do?

19 million college students, average annual tuition $26,000 = $484,000,000. What shall we do with the other $145 billion. 🤔 Shall I do paid leave? Or universal child care? How about a replacement electric car?

I love numbers, they are precise. If we gave $2,000 basic income every month to every person in the USA (332mil) it would cost 13% of our annual budget ($6.1T). This would impact the rest of your list.

Middle school pickup. Kid abruptly steps off the sidewalk into the road, SUV slams on brakes, stops just in time. Oblivious, the kid proceeds to his dad’s car, which is double parked and blocking traffic in the other lane. A whole family that’s just an incredible affront to natural selection

One thing I want to point out: When Nex Benedict's story became news, multiple sources indicated he used they/them pronouns. Friends later confirmed he primarily used he/him, so I added this update to my original story and changed throughout. People make it seem so complicated, but it's really not.
UPDATE 2/26/14: Friends of Nex’s told NBC News that Nex “primarily went by he/him pronouns at school but also used they/them pronouns, which Nex's family also used.” They also confirmed that he was transgender. I’ve updated this story to reflect those facts, which were not clear at the time of publishing.

Amazingly, if you are prepared to invest in lying to your own doctor for nearly a year, they will attempt to provide treatment for the symptoms you claim to be experiencing. Shocking. Imagine she’d put half that effort into trying to repair her relationship with her estranged son.

People who claim private companies are more efficient than the government have never tried to talk to their insurance company

Efficiency is directly proportional to the amount of employees. Government has too few, while private companies have more. There are 60K people employed by Social Security to service 70M customers. That's one employee per 1100 customers.
