Judith has dramatic blue eyeshadow and powerful energy. There is a distinct sense of movement in this painting, as if Wiley has frozen Judith at the exact moment she is swinging the head upward and retracting the sword.

Why Minnie? It’s a question I get asked a lot. And there are just as many answers why I love Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck so much. They represent a lot of things to me now: innocence, a feeling of nostalgia, characters who are in some ways blank slates who can mean whatever I want them to.

Another big one is teaching your son to see girls as equals. Instead of enrolling him in sex-segregated sports, introduce him to a co-ed team. And help him foster his more “feminine” interests where we can be in mixed-sex spaces, making mixed-sex friend groups.
