you're way better off leveling up your actual writing skills, because any premise/idea/collection of tropes will slap if you can write well. Stop worrying about whether mermaid zombie princesses are in style. Worry about how you put the words together, how you feed info to the reader, etc.

A curious thing about playing Amber is that it’s the only game where the play experience is comparably busy to a normal workday. Not that play is work, but rather that there are a large number of things in flight simultaneously, more than can be done, but you must manage all the same.

Very few books care as much about people as Pratchett's, so in retrospect it makes sense that a game that truly followed in his footsteps would treat safety as a real, human concern rather than a check the box exercise. Sorry to keep hammering this. I'm just agog.
