This is how dyscalculia works. I am very similar, but I just can formulate numbers in my mind or work with them there. That also extends to paper. I am however very, very good at maths. But the school system in Iceland did not and does not accept this as problem. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dyscalc...

Hot take - forcing people to use childproof packaging is ableist. Example. I have a severe case of hEDS (hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome), so my hands are extremely weak. I also wear hearing aids. My batteries have never been a problem until now. Now they’re childproof. For no reason.
