I used to be a paragliding pilot until one bad flight I was very, very lucky to walk away from. I haven’t picked up my wing in over a year now, and though I’m happy with that decision, I’ve never forgotten the feeling of flying 🪂 Now that feeling has found its way into my WIP 🩵 #WritingCommunity
A photograph taken by a paragliding pilot. The photo shows two other paragliders silhouetted by the sunset with a valley sprawled beneath them. A lake can be seen on the horizon. The photographer’s boots (aka, my boots) are visible at the bottom of the image. A manuscript being edited. Purple ink crosses out much of the words

Just finished my WIP’s 2nd draft, right in time for my birthday 🥳 From here, I’ll be reviewing my printed copy and noting any plot holes, weak scenes, etc before going back to my digital version to make updates. There’s still a long way to go, but I’m so excited to see what comes next 🥰
V. K. Velasco took a selfie with the printed version of her story’s rough draft. The highlighted section represents the second rough draft, while previous months (dating back to August 2025) represent the first draft.

You have more in common with the people of Iran than you do with anyone in this administration, any member of the technocracy, anyone who is profiting from this war, or any billionaire. When you see Iranians forming human chains outside key infrastructure sites, you should feel a sense of kinship.

Artemis II has now set a new record for the humans farthest from Earth, last set by Apollo 13 in 1970! They proposed names for two craters they saw: Integrity for their spacecraft, and Carroll in honor of the commander's wife who passed in 2020. The crew had a moment ❤️😭

The editing process so far 🤪 I took a month-long hiatus after completing the first draft, then chopped 50k words b/c I didn't like where they took the story. It's taken about another month to rewrite that whole section, and tbh I've been really enjoying the new direction 🥰 #AmWriting #AmEditing
