This infuriates the shit out of me. Dems must prosecute these fascist fucks. They must be required to show their faces and identify themselves so they can be held accountable for violating people’s due process and for unlawful brutality.

I should also mention that this location is one of the 125 receiving speed cameras as part of the City’s Speed Safety Systems Program. Much needed.

This is in the Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council district where I represent the adjacent neighborhood of Mt. Washington. North Figueroa is a dangerous road and should be reconfigured to prioritize people’s safety over parking convenience. We have the tools and the plans to fix this today. Enough.

Spoke to a friend last night that took the D Line for the first time ever earlier in the week to go to a night time event at LACMA. Nothing but rave reviews and how it allowed him to get there faster and more cheaply (no parking $$ no gas $$). D Line extension will continue to be a game changer.

Loved seeing Rep. Laura Friedman there who authored the bill as a state assemblymember allowing cities to do these pilot projects — a process that started 7 (!) years ago. Worth watching her drill down the privacy protections in place. These are not Flock cameras!

Again, I do not understand why there isn't more outrage around the country that we're spending a *lot* of money on housing and feeding National Guard members deployed to DC where they are unwanted and doing little to actually improve public safety. The deployment is purely performative.

Nearly half of LA's $300,000 earners held officer or detective titles, and among the Police Officer IIs in that group, average overtime topped regular pay.
