Parklet proposed at 8th and Western in Koreatown
In her ongoing quest to find unconventional opportunities for new park space in Koreatown, 10th District Councilmember Heather Hutt has set her sites on a street segment on the western side of the neighborhood. In a motion introduced this week, Hutt suggests that the spur of 8th Street which branches off from the main corridor at Western Avenue could be vacated and converted into park space. Hutt notes that while the spur provides vehicular access and street parking, it does not provide vehicular access to any adjacent properties.
