In my vain attempt to get new Outlook to work this morning, I was exploring the idea of trying to start it in "safe mode". This led me to discover that I had an "Outlook (classic)" shortcut on my Start menu. Running it has allowed me to actually do work today.

I got pushed onto the new Outlook because of a Windows glitch. I tried. I tried for weeks. It is just an awful piece of technology. Microsoft should retain the people in charge of this to work in another field more in line with their talents, like landscape design, or welding.

It was explained as part of my joining the crew of an aircraft carrier that the nuclear reactor techs received significantly less radiation exposure than those working on the flight deck. This was because of the much larger, and completely unshielded, nuclear reactor overhead. 🌞

Apple has made trying to recover my old AppleID so hard I gave up and tried creating a new one. It failed. Even tried a new email and different phone number. I guess I will just continue to encourage people to use their knowledge of how easy it is to pirate Apple TV instead of paying for it.

Everyone who believes the police actually do work to stop crime have never been a victim of it, or have the level of wealth and influence to privilege them with being protected by the police. Police are, at their best, barely a deterrent and largely ineffective after the fact.

I downloaded my FB data today. I left a parting message to contact me but email or other ways as my last status. That website stopped being actually good at providing social connections ages ago. Discord, Signal, and literally forums have now replaced it for me.
