The Rays reportedly sold out their home opener but it's unclear to me if this was a true sell out or if the upper deck of Tropicana Field was closed. Otherwise, I can't find any evidence of another sell out this year. In any case, they were 28th attendance this year. Shaming is 100% warranted.

More than anything, I'll remember 2026 as the year me and my boy started making lasting baseball memories together that we'll both remember. This year, he started tee ball, I coached, and we made our first father-son trip to watch the Blue Jays in Toronto. 2026 will always be special to me.

The morning of game 7, I told my wife part of me was relieved there wouldn't be anymore baseball after that day so I could relax a bit and not think about it every waking second. First of all, HOOOOO BOY was I wrong! Secondly, I feel like I take baseball for granted less and less every year.

It's the last day of the Blue Jays season. Favourite memory this year? Taking my little guy on our first father-son trip to Toronto the weekend before he started kindergarten. I'll never forget that trip. Baseball is the best when you share it with the ones you love.
