Neill was New Zealand's biggest international film star, yet was a modest man who shied from the media spotlight.

He was born in Northern Ireland to a British mother and a New Zealand father stationed there with the British army.

The family moved to New Zealand when he was 8, and it was at school in Christchurch that he first took the name Sam.

Apricot-glazed rahkapiirakka, with one reserved for my manager who gave me the homemade apricot jam 🥰😋
Two trays of Finnish quarg buns (rahkapiirakka), cardamom-flavoured sweet buns with a creme fraiche custard topping. They are glazed with apricot jam which gives some of them a more orange-looking top.

Steve, a decent-sized huntsman spider, on a wall just above a double doorway with closed glass sliding doors. Steve is perhaps 10cm across including the legs.

Then we did the 1000+ steps down to the beach and back to the car park via the Hazards Beach track. The sign is right, it's exhausting. #Tasmania
