People say the same sort of sh1te about Bradford too, but it's usually people who've never been. The city has poverty for sure, but it also has some of the kindest, nicest, most genuine people you'll ever meet - regardless of race or regilion.

I do still think the UK's hatred of trans people does come back to the aristocracy and royals and back to that 1970 case that upset their status quo way back then. The UK would absolutely need to address its trans rights if we were ever to rejoin the EU.

I think Europe is still going in the right direction. The European court of justice has been consistent in their ruling on trans rights. And just recently the Council of Europe has published its first LGBT strategy following the EU leadership. www.coe.int/en/web/porta...

I'd hope they would sanction the UK over it, or even call it out, but there's been nothing but silence. I know the UK is independent of the EU since brexit but the EU call out other countries whose human rights have reduced. I am now legally segregated against. It SUCKS badly.

I wonder if he's placating various groups such as Scottish independence movement, and others but I don't trust Labour either. I think Labour need to prove they're committed to this rather than talking the talk. Starmer u-turned more than the Tories and Burnham seems to be following.

Isn't the EU looking to restrict some rights for new entrants for 15 years? The last thing they, or the UK, wants is for us to get back in, get Reform at the next election and pull out again. UK human rights have slipped significantly since 2016 too, even if Labour are in denial.

And within those 3 years maybe you can find a long term job, or sponsorship, or education, or fall in love. It gives you options. Or you can stay in the UK - banned from toilets, changing rooms, put on wrong hospital wards, living in fear of the 'Deception as to Sex' law.

I guess 'into the red' depends how good or bad depending on the deck. Mine has 3 leds upto 3db, but it can go right up to 8db. I've never gone anywhere near that. I max out at 2-3 red leds at 2-3db. I think 6-8 db is more for quality metal tapes which just can't be found any more?

I have a nerdy side too ya know. This morning I'm recording Dark Side of the Moon onto NOS chrome tape. All recording levels set, and (hopefully) will perform correctly. Tape never sounds as good as CD but it has a charm, even if using it in 2026 is more archaeology than anything else 😣

Oh yeah I saw those. Restricting the NHS - like restricting diagnosis on a political whim is ever a good thing. I imagine such NHS departments are finding their funding cut, professionals scared off, private services under attack until they give up etc.
