Nothing proves how susceptible people are to "bigger number must be better" thinking than 60fps videos made out of 24fps sources

New OBCY day is a good day. I've seen this come together over the past couple of months and seeing the finished thing is a marvel as always! For the Nekojiru-so heads in my audience, this is the closest to that high you can get!

The fact that no opportunistic digital backlot studio made a movie capitalizing on Jean Dielmann's win at the S&S poll by making a movie called Jam Dealer-Man about a lonely guy in a Midwest cabin making Onlyfans-cash while slowly masticating some strawberries for his son in the background

I should be cooking breakfast for myself but I've been completely stunlocked by Orthrelm's OV. I've tried to get into this album so many times but now it just clicked. Fucking hell, what an phenomenal album! It's like evil bees disintegrating over an endless drumfill that's going down the stairwell!

One inspiring thing I find about Letterboxd is the detached, poetic write-up. Not necessarily about the film, maybe not even really a review, but a portrait of words about moving images. I kind of want to move towards that direction a little bit.

Alligator Gar

Super ancient is the long-snouted fish that gulps the air and breathes the fresh water ways, outlasting the dinosaurs and the reptiles of water and air. Its kind, hard scales resist it to weathering time. Blessed is the fish olive drab and spotted strangely, long snouted, placid and calmly, swimming through the pyrocene, and it is an unknown future fish unseen,

Without wanting to sound like a conspiracy theorist. It definitely seems like disabled, ADHD, Autistic people are being fitted up so they can be blamed for society's ills. Being disabled isn't "trendy" but journalists attacking disabled people definitely seems to be a new trend. 1/2

Headline reads; young women, nicknamed sickfluencers are turning chronic illness into a lifestyle trend and entrenching a culture of economic inactivity

Fisher demon

A pair of folk ran across the river soaked, so when they came across a great gnarled hook black as the moonless night, it began to twitch, and a hunched-over black furry mass watched with glaring red eyes, its chorus-like voice reverberating and giving them a message (for That is the nature of its kind) "Those who yearn for catches great, leave only bones where the dead should wake," and promptly left, its tail flicking and furling its small wings, fluttering as it bound away. This felt like a simple prophecy, but the pair of folk began to dissect it from every angle, obsessing over the contents of its words. How it applied to them, who they could blame, each misfortune compounding a new manic interrogation, writhing with anxiety and panic. But all this to say, the demon ultimately was just annoyed they had bothered its fishing and decided to misuse its role in a bout of pettiness and remained satisfied with the results.

The painful thing is how those of us in the disability community predicted this outcome - both that ignoring COVID and taking no measures to restrict it's spread would lead to a massive increase in disability, and that those disabled would be blamed for their own conditions.

I don't think it should be controversial to say, "we will not provide financial or military assistance to a country where the Minister of National Security brags about popping people's dreams of 'food' and 'education' then sending them to a prison where they are starved."

For a children's show, I do really appreciate how the central conflict really is collaboration vs subjugation. Ken really feels like a timely antagonist now, since the terminally online CEO-type has risen to it's apex in the past six years. He'd be getting Thiel-money for sure.
