$130-$150 for a covid vax? That is insane. What does the loss of productivity cost the country, since that seems to be the only measure that anyone cares about anymore?

I just find it hard to comprehend the mindset of someone that would defend this. Saying this is justified — good, even — is so plainly outrageous, it should be an opinion that exists on the absolute fringe periphery of our society. As it stands, it is the default position of our leaders and media

When people here get upset about datacenters, it's "an inauthentic American import" but when the fascists come along with their opposition to abortion, trans people, wind farms, vaccines and facts, it's just "regular mums and dads with legitimate concerns".
Guardian: "Australian politicians and business leaders are arguing that their populace’s growing resentment of AI datacentres is an inauthentic import from the United States."

Heard some interesting stories about this guy from a union official, last year. Apparently he would stand in the ANZ foyer in the early afternoon and if he spotted someone packed up and leaving, would demand to know why they were departing early. Must have been fun to be a parent on a school run.

Opinion
Political leadership
The emerging narrative is that Hanson leads an unstoppable movement. It’s also highly radical
Anthony Albanese’s hare-and-the-tortoise political strategy, built on policy incrementalism, is now on life support. Angus Taylor is a store-bought Liberal leader who looks the part but will eventually have to make way for Andrew Hastie.
