Why did you transition? Right answers only Bc I felt like there was a pot of water inside me that went very slowly from a low simmer to rapidly boiling over, and I didn't know why, but wondered if it was my vague internal/external incongruence coming to a head. It was. I feel better now.

Caregiver abuse is so real, and so is caregiver burnout. When traumatized, disabled people only have the support of other traumatized, disabled people, there's a lot of opportunity for cycles of toxic behavior. That's what happened to me. Cycles of triggering & making each other sicker.

One of the core audiences I tend to write for? People who are chronically ill / disabled, or have loved ones who are chronically ill / disabled. Oftentimes, the system basically says to us 'oh just deal with some more trauma.' Fuck that.
