Brooks has had an awful first half. Ignores the clear penalty on Wirtz, no VAR to help him. Then immediately calls a PK on an obvious non foul, VAR overturns. Not watching the incident in the box before a corner, leading to a headbutt that he doesn’t see. Not calling any grappling/pushing on corners

I really can't take much more of these god awful referees. Classic lenient for the under dog home side. Yarmoluk on wirtz was a blatant pen and they don't look at it. They give the pen on Macca, look at it and overturn it. It's absolutely shite refereeing

I wish Referee’s were fair. Munoz repeatedly fouled but being ignored. Brentford appeal, free kick given with one exception I can remember

Fantastic goal by Brentford. Referee has had an absolute shocker so far. Numerous fouls missed and a definite penalty on Wirtz. The one he did give was incorrect. He looks incredibly slow when running too

… the appeal’s an entirely separate thing to what is a completed investigation. It’s also, clearly, a further delay tactic by City that shouldn’t be allowed to obstruct discussions around what they’ve been found guilty of, namely industrial-level corporate fraud. Say it, debate it, keep it relevant.

Kavanagh’s performance, even before the sending off, was a perfect example of how a referee can influence a match without making big decisions. Constantly gave fouls against us that he didn’t give against them. Booked Araújo for waving an imaginary yellow but not Fernandez, for example. A disgrace.

He’s got a free pass from me. We are a hot mess with no established patterns of play and a massively unbalanced squad. Highlighted today by two or three injuries meaning we are plugging square pegs into round holes. Any incoming Manager gets a free pass in season one inheriting this squad make up.

Another consequence of letting TAA go was his HG status, we have a smaller squad and because we don't have enough HG players who are good enough to contribute, we lost the right to register Ndukwe, who will now be unable to be classed as HG. Again, the long term planning has been poor
