Right!?! I have never felt like i fit in or belonged my whole life. This is the main reason I got a degree in psychology, so I could maybe understand people better. It didn't help. Lol!! Neurotypical people are still baffling. I do my best now to embrace my "weird". I also coach ND people now. :)

Exactly. I have a bachelor's in psych and masters in counseling/art therapy. It's just what you've shown. Basically a pool of traits that you may or may not have in whatever combination or severity. We are all our own unique brand of neurodivergent. 🤗

supplements & I was able to calm down enough to learn to read that summer. Then I was voracious. I couldn't stop reading & they put me in the Talented & Gifted program at school after checking my IQ & seeing it was 135. I was 47 when I figured out I was also autistic & so much started making sense.

Same!! They had no clue what it really was. My 1st grade teacher told my mom I was retarded because I couldn't sit still long enough to read, the doctor wanted to put me on ritalin. My mom was appalled, did a ton of research at the library, put me on the feingold diet and found a lady that sold

Knew I was ADHD from when I was diagnosed with "hyperactivity" in 1978-9. They only thought it meant disruptive behavior. I got a masters in counseling & art therapy, did a deep dive into adhd traits, then had a client who was Audhd & everything she struggled with I did too. I'm also every autistic.
