Watched Batman Knightfall Part 1 (2026) with @txmepassxs.bsky.social I'm pretty lukewarm on knightfall the comic but the movie managed to take the best parts of it and put it all together in a satisfying way. Very interested to see how the rest of the story is done!

Batman knightfall (2026) poster, two cartoon men jumping at each other in a fight

As somebody that's pretty lukewarm on the comic, i think this movie trimmed the fat and focussed on the best parts of the story.

The close look at Bane's origin was very well done and the use of the 90s batman supporting cast was great. Tim Drake my baby boy! I have WAITED so long for a good adaptation of him and from being scared he wouldn't be included or that he would get all uwu, I'm so happy with how he was portrayed here, I hope we get more of his family life and his friends/ girlfriend in the sequel.

I do think there's some corners cut in animation but it was great when needed. Jean-Paul was good to see but I feel his status quo in this was rather happy hazardly placed in, it'd have been cool if we got a sword of Azrael short before this but I hope it can be explored in the future parts.

I noticed some bad language used to describe mental health but as it came up a good amount of times it feels to be intentional particularly with the Bruce and Shondra dynamic. Also changing Bane's motivation from being Bat-focussed to Wayne-focussed was an interesting choice and felt like they took a few queues from Nolan's take. But he's clearly in the wrong instead of making good points but then killing a bunch of people.

Also the lack of Bird and the other Bane henchmen was honestly good for me cause it focusses on the singular strength of Bane's character instead of it being undermined by henchmen.

This is pure 90s goodness and I love that!

subaru to suu-san was definitely an emotional ride. it’s a heartbreaking story, specially seeing subaru having to let go of the life he knew so well and to be completely lost on what to do, but also one of those stories that make us remind ourselves that we are surrounded by love

now that the anime is out, please consider giving yano-kun no futsuu no hibi a chance!!! it’s a hilarious story not only about yano and his clumsiness but how he’s opening up to the world thanks to yoshida, who’s so full of kind and love, and their amazing group of friends!!

Back on my horror shit! The Ugly Stepsister (2025) Watched with @txmepassxs.bsky.social Had a great time with this, some odd edits here and there but I loved how it looked at the intersection of poverty and patriarchy. With terrific body horror. I felt some bits were a bit much but great time

"neighborhood craftsmen" vol 1 was a very interesting read. it's a historical story that talks about the beauty of craftsmanship from edo, more specific from kanda neighborhood. i talks about all the details, the sweat, blood and passion that each one of them put into their works

stupid cole w his stupid heterochromia ooo he’s not like other mentally ill boys uwu— …we have to infer that he has his gun (which is only important in vol 1 btw) because he’s (1) an insecure bitchass twink & (2) undoubtedly amer*can, since there’s no way anyone did a proper bg check on this moron

It is really really sinking in for me the degree to which LLMs are the ultimate expression of right wing anti-intellectualism. Its proponents are literally mocking the idea that anyone would ever want to learn anything, know anything, develop any actual skill, or have a thought of their own.
