Our cat, Oreo, who let us serve her for 20+ years, passed in the night. She came to us at 12 weeks and for the next 20 years rose and fell in the ranks of the various cats that shared our home. Sometimes she was the boss, sometimes... not. 1/2

I'm reading the Charlie Parker detective/supernatural novels and I'm on book 19 and all the unpleasant/evil/bad people continue to have physical characteristics that don't adhere to Western ideas of "beautiful". It's unfortunate that that trope persists.
