I see how this works. AI writes lots of crappy repetitive code, You ask it to clean it up with helper functions, but Its goldfish brain kicks in, And it forgets everything it just wrote; Then proceeds to spend a gazillion tokens reading pages and pages of crappy code. Good code costs less tokens.

C++ help: struct FooTag{}; using FooInt = StrongType<int, FooTag>; using BarInt = StrongType<int, struct BarTag>; ie "inline" forward declaration in second case. I recall that Foo is better than Bar, but I don't remember why. IIRC, because of some subtle change in ADL (it's always ADL). Anyone?

You know how everyone says "don't use endl with cout, instead use '\n', it's cheaper"? Well they do say that, and it is "cheaper". (endl is a flush, \n is not). But if you are debugging (sadly via printouts) then a flush on each line might be exactly what you need to see where the code gets stuck!

If something has a rating system of 1-5 stars, you just give it 5 (unless there were issues). But if the ratings go up to 10, you actually rate it for real. 9/10, 8/10, even 7/10 (even though you might not have picked 4/5 stars). 5 star ratings are, quite literally, overrated.

Not only do I put two spaces after periods (in English), I also put two spaces after semicolons - in code: if (int x = f(); x > 0) ... Mostly for if statements, but also for for-loops. Why not. Particularly when they get a bit verbose.

TIL that like low level programmers talk about struct-ot-arrays vs arrays-of-structs, databases talk about row-oriented vs column-oriented databases. For basically the same reasons. I mean, probably not a revelation, but I typically don't do db stuff.
