Just feels like a series that only appeals to an increasingly small group of men that hasn't changed much since the late 2000s. It'd be interesting to see some data on people who are Gears fans who did not become fans during the trilogy on the 360.

This reminds me, I think they're having a free weekend so I need to give it a try. I like aspects of Marathon but it's way too hardcore and indecipherable for me, so Arc Raiders might be more my speed.

I gave Braid an A+ back in my press days. I spent 100s of hours working on The Witness at PlayStation, fighting for it, getting it into conferences, and being Jon's personal wrangler. I even coined "Metroidbrainia" after it. I will not be buying Order of the Sinking Star, and neither should you.

I never played the original so I don't know what they specifically improved, but I am absolutely loving Yooka-Replaylee. It's just so wonderfully colourful and silly and I kind of adore the stupid tone and dumb humour. Exactly what I need right now 💕
