my spouse came into my work tonight during service. I was working expo in the kitchen & told the person on fryer that if they messed up my beloved spouse's dinner I would jump across the metal table and punch them. anyway my spouse loved their dinner and I didn't have to punch my boss.

I brought two drinks (water + iced coffee) to my last job interview in 2025. interview ended in offers from two separate employers & a bidding war for my affections. I had the pleasure of choosing the one that paid me more money & valued my time. I don't think the drink matters more than skill.

another great detail: no one in a BA uniform has been remotely apologetic, even performatively. everyone keeps acting like this is a normal delay. the closest thing we've gotten is a guy at check-in saying "we're doing our best" (no sorry, no sympathies)
