Over the next year I watched adults in my life go absolutely NUTS trying to "invest" in beanie babies. Spending money, getting into fights, hunting down stores that had the right one. All because they believed they could replicate my "success" (which was actually just pure happenstance luck)

This kind of stalking is why I won't speak to one of my parents anymore. I also would get "well placed calls" when I would book a flight or hotel without telling the parent... well into my 30s. Not ok. leave your adult kids alone, or one day they will leave you alone.

SWE for 30+ years. was a HEAVY AI. Walking away from AI was the best choice I ever made. The game I made with it "worked" but the performance issues because of its slop code were so horrid I had to start over by hand. It was garbage but it didn't feel like it when I was making it.
