For the last time, getting rid of public sector DB pension schemes actually COSTS billions in the short to medium term. Because you go from a situation where we are currently paying the pensions of retired workers, to one where we are paying both retired and working people's pensions.

Interesting. Meta has reached its first UK trade union access agreement after being approached by Prospect, allowing the union to speak to employees directly about joining. Under the agreement, Prospect (with ~160,000 UK members inc. tech workers) will have access to Meta’s 5,000 staff in the UK.

A lot to like in that performance. Wissa reborn and fantastic. Hall brilliant (as usual). Elanga enjoying this system. Some great Miley moments. Dedic very positive. Mostly enjoyed Hornicek's pass selection. Steur starting in itself very encouraging. #nufc

Would be so up for this, but assume 'control' means some kind of buy-back which I'd rather we didn't do Maybe we can sign Ezzalzouli and Betis can get Roony #nufc

Ultimately, if the plan is to do a big rebuild and try and develop a new young team, then it doesn't make sense to keep Bruno when we could sell at peak value. Going to be a tough year, but worth it if it leads to a more sustainable project.

Getting to the point where the average Tory MP might have a better chance of saving their seat by quitting and setting up their own fringe racist party. But it's all ok because Kemi has got a bit better at PMQs 🤷

Unpopular #nufc opinion, but if Joelinton does want to leave and we can get a fee from Saudi we should sell him. Yes not ideal to lose the three starting CMs in one window. But in some ways makes the rebuild easier than trying to build around someone with a pretty unique profile and skillset

Kwasi Kwarteng's crypto company? When I was investigating Reform's financial ties a few months ago, drawing up a map of who was connected to whom, this was the biggest mystery. Nine years ago, aged 53, he declared himself "skint" because "there's no money in politics".
Only two years ago he was telling friends that he could not afford to run in the coming election. Then suddenly, his fortunes seemed to
and change utterly. How?
The likely explanation emerged this week: he was given E5 million by Christopher Harborne, a Thailand-based crypto billionaire and Reform UK donor. The money, Farage says, was a personal gift
disclosable. It was to pay for bodyguards, he said, making him "safe and secure for the rest of my life". But such protection costs are, at most, £300,000 a year. Farage was given a lifetime of financial security, clearing the way for his return to the political arena. Albeit with a lifelong feeling of debt to Harborne, who sits in a web of interlocking global financial interests.
The world of donors is one of sharks and angels. Many donors want to support causes (or people) they believe in, with no ulterior motive. But then there are the
