URGENT: if you’re in the Snoho/King county area and have room for a dog, this sweet baby was abandoned by some neighbors. I have personally handled her and she is super sweet as soon as she’s out of confinement/with people. Her listing photo is awful. Tomorrow is probably her last day.

🌿 There are over 16,000 species of moss worldwide, 1,100 in my country. 🌿 Mosses are among the oldest land plants and have an ancient blueprint without roots. 🌿 They store water and prevent soil erosion! 🌿 Experiments are being carried out with them on the subject of clean air.

The Texas prickly pears are blooming! Texas pricklies are a variety of Engelmann’s prickly named after our Father of Texas Botany, Ferdinand Jacob Lindheimer. Flowers vary from yellow to orange to ruby red! Bloom time is spring-summer, and flower colors can vary widely on the same individual. 🌵🌿
A large Texas prickly pear with an extensive trunk and numerous paddles which are all starting to flower. Flowers on this individual seem to be mono-orange.
