After the terrible but expected election results here in Germany yesterday, I went outside to find some strength and hope in the slowly awakening nature. 🌿

🌿 There are over 16,000 species of moss worldwide, 1,100 in my country. 🌿 Mosses are among the oldest land plants and have an ancient blueprint without roots. 🌿 They store water and prevent soil erosion! 🌿 Experiments are being carried out with them on the subject of clean air.

This emotional support squirrel tells you that you need to take some time for something nice today so that you don't burn out with all the horror that the news is currently bringing. Its tips: - Go for a walk - Eat a good nut - Eat a really, really good nut - Peanut👏Peanut👏Peanut👏 🌿

A squirrel sits on a branch and looks down into the camera. It has a nut in its mouth.

I live in Hamburg, Germany, and I visit Denmark several times a year. I especially enjoy being there in December, when it's lichen time! 😍

Still alive and kickin‘. Got a second garden, planted 20 fruit trees and mowed some paths into Frogland. Frogland will never be touched or replaced by something disgusting like a lawn. The meadows of Frogland are holy. 🌿

Two developments: I now have a huge forest garden with loads of leaf litter. My leaf litter critter researcher heart be like 💓 And we accidentally got a 3rd dog again. Unplanned, but if a dog needs help, I usually am like „yeah okay, bring her over“, so this is Torvi, a Husky-Laika-Mix from Siberia.

Mhhhhh oh yeah, what Hawaii definitely needs is more monocultures for more methane farting cattle :) (And also cool and normal to give cattle BEER).

Mark Zuckerberg in front of a pile of meat. Text: Started raising cattle at Ko'olau Ranch on Kauai, and my goal is to create some of the highest quality beef in the world. The cattle are wagyu and angus, and they'll grow up eating macadamia meal and drinking beer that we grow and produce here on the ranch. We want the whole process to be local and vertically integrated. Each cow eats 5,000-10,000 pounds of food each year, so that's a lot of acres of macadamia trees. My daughters help plant the mac trees and take care of our different animals. We're still early in the journey and it's fun improving on it every season. Of all my projects, this is the most delicious.

My dog died this week. She was my first, I got her as a rescue in my 20s and have had her for 12 years. I hear her all the time, I always look back when I walk my other dogs – to check on her and wait for her. But when I turn around, I remember.
