I had my first progressive long run of the Houston training block and waahhh I hit my pace targets for my progressive blocks 😮‍💨✊🏻 4.5-mi @ conversational pace 3.5-mi @ 8:10 min/mi 3.5-mi @ 7:55 min/mi 3.5 @ 7:35 min/mi My last 2-mi was up a serious grade incline SO IT WAS TOUGH BUT I DID IT 😤 🏃🏻‍♀️

Took myself out on a hike this afternoon to a historical trail system I’ve yet to explore. Despite it being pretty hot out, it was a really neat place! I loved finding the tower. I chose to go in without a trail map so just had to go off gut feeling LOL 🌲🥾

A few of the fancy sparrows have started to come through on their trip south. This juvenile White-crowned sparrow hasn’t developed the black and white striped headgear of the adults yet, but it’s still fancy! It dropped in for a quick drink, and a bath in the creek! #Birds 🪶

Yeah, these’ll do 😤✊🏻 Took my new Adizero EVO SL Wovens for their first spin this morning. Run like heaven if heaven was a running shoe LOL I love the fit on the Wovens. Original SLs have a bit of a boxy toebox but the Wovens cinch it down a tad. Named these Boston Yellows in my miles tracker. 🏃🏻‍♀️👟

I have tragically lost my right big toenail. For the 5th time in my years of running LOL Yes, I fully size up my shoes. Yes, I wear good wool socks. I just occasionally will loose this one in particular, especially after logging weekly long runs (13+ miles) that comes with marathon season. 🏃🏻‍♀️🦶🏻
