I am going to make a guess that it dates from the early 1970s. At that time the Abercorn & the other pubs listed on the inside was owned by Benskins, the Watford Brewers. 130

The Church was built between 1824 and 1827, and had been in need of restoration. Fortunately the charity group Friends of St Mary's has secured monies through fundraising.
