mandy ✨ @tilflowersbloom.bsky.social · 20/08/2026#mandywatchesstartrek ahh, garak is finally back! I was beginning to wonder if we’d ever see him again or if all the shipping was just based around that one episode lol 000
mandy ✨ @tilflowersbloom.bsky.social · 15/08/2026oh also hey, hugh is back! excited to him again! 000
mandy ✨ @tilflowersbloom.bsky.social · 15/08/2026#mandywatchesstartrek finally back for the next part of the two part episode (season 7 episode 1) it is particularly cruel of lore to give data what he has always wanted (emotions) but only give him a negative experience of them and also to have him target gerodi specifically 100

mandy ✨ @tilflowersbloom.bsky.social · 12/08/2026at least it didn’t end like I thought it would with data “killing“ geordi, then I probably would just ignored my schedule and kept watching 000
mandy ✨ @tilflowersbloom.bsky.social · 12/08/2026anyways, all this to say that I stopped on the first of a two part episode of tng today and it’s not scheduled again until saturday and I’m debating if I should hold to my schedule and wait (and experience a bit of what people felt when it first aired) or just watch it tomorrow when I’m not working 100
mandy ✨ @tilflowersbloom.bsky.social · 12/08/2026the most amusing part to me is adding game changer and um actually in the middle of the day because it reminds watching game shows on days off school or lunch break as a kid 100
mandy ✨ @tilflowersbloom.bsky.social · 12/08/2026A couple weeks ago, I decided i was watching through star trek too fast so my solution was to make myself a tv schedule for when I’m working so I could add a little more variety to my watching which has been very fun. 110

mandy ✨ @tilflowersbloom.bsky.social · 25/07/2026the same brother who when I was watching tos, said pon farr sounded like something out of fan fiction and then when I said it was more like the inspiration for a lot of things in fi, he was oh, yeah like that alpha, beta thing 100
mandy ✨ @tilflowersbloom.bsky.social · 25/07/2026it’s funny I was talking to my brother about how tng didn’t have as many interesting ships to me, but just a few episodes into ds9 there’s already some. And my brother, who doesn’t watch star trek was like, oh yeah, the doctor and that other guy right? 100
mandy ✨ @tilflowersbloom.bsky.social · 24/07/2026other quick and unrelated thoughts: -kira feels like a character child me would've imprinted on if i'd watched it growing up -the visual effect of odo shapeshifting reminds me of flubber, in a good way 000
mandy ✨ @tilflowersbloom.bsky.social · 24/07/2026the combination of the wormhole and the general shape of the space station just keeps making me thinking "oh this is like stargate atlantis" even though they're clearly different (i know atlantis isn't really a space station but it's close enough) but i know i'm going to keep doing that lol 100
mandy ✨ @tilflowersbloom.bsky.social · 24/07/2026#mandywatchestartrek i'm 3 episodes into ds9 and like it a lot so far it's so interesting that they also encounter an alien race that's so powerful and so different from humans at the start like in tng but they are clearly very different than the q 100
mandy ✨ @tilflowersbloom.bsky.social · 24/07/2026the actor for garak is so expressive and the cardassian makeup suits him and the expressiveness so well 000
mandy ✨ @tilflowersbloom.bsky.social · 24/07/2026on garak's side anyways, i think any flirting by bashir was mostly accidental because he was just so caught up in how excited he was that the spy was talking to him that dynamic was very fun, i am looking forward to more 100
mandy ✨ @tilflowersbloom.bsky.social · 24/07/2026#mandywatchesstartrek i am 30 years late and everyone has already said this but wow that meeting between bashir and garak was very flirtatious 100

mandy ✨ @tilflowersbloom.bsky.social · 23/07/2026I originally was going to wait until i finished tng but I’ve been wanting to watch it since the starfleet academy episode that connected to it and I realized they overlapped a bit and also I’m just too impatient to wait any longer 000
mandy ✨ @tilflowersbloom.bsky.social · 23/07/2026also also after the end of the two part episode, I’ll be at the point of one deep space nine starts so i finally can watch it! (I’m going to try jumping back and forth between tng and ds9 based on their release dates) 100
mandy ✨ @tilflowersbloom.bsky.social · 23/07/2026also I already really liked the look of them but the swapping of the skin tone to be more grey vs the peachy flesh tone they had in their first introduction is so good 100
mandy ✨ @tilflowersbloom.bsky.social · 23/07/2026#mandywatchesstartrek maybe terrible to say as Picard is probably about to be tortured by them but I am enjoying the cardassians. they’re such slippery (?) villains 100
