Reading @alyssamatesic.bsky.social and Patrick "QueryTracker" McDonald's THE MODERN GUIDE TO QUERYING LITERARY AGENTS... It says a lot of things that I learned on my own, but it ALSO has stuff I never heard, so it was DEFINITELY WORTH BUYING. If you're new to querying, definitely read this book.

Took my Forester to the dealership for some front end work this morning, planning to wait. Conversation with the service rep concluded with 1) Tiff could be wrong about the root cause, 2) We won't know until we get into it, and 3) Tiff heading home in a free loaner. I like my dealership!

Today's big jobs.... 1) Did more planning for income tax season 2) Changed the oil in the car 3) Called the help line to fix my phone's misses-some-text-messages problem. The big reveal? The phone fix was simply uninstalling the update to Google Messages. Great job, Google! I'm truly impressed!

I just spent 3 hours cleaning our two carpet runners outside on the concrete driveway. Pressure washer. Dawn. Giant squeegee. Bristle broom. They are now draped over the horse fence to dry, and I am very very very tired. Next time, I'll probably take it to a pro and not care what it costs

Well, I cancelled my Amazon Prime freebie with two weeks to go. Now Amazon's page is littered with buttons that will restart Prime, like a hot sidewalk covered with wads of chewing gum. I could tiptoe around them carefully, but it's easier to simply shop somewhere else.
