At the very least, it needs to be regulated that purchasing any media - a game, a movie, an album, etc. - means you are entitled to download a copy of it to keep and use in perpetuity. If a company revokes a product or no longer provides DRM, consider it lapsed and free to share.

That's the infuriating part - North American power is split phase, generally 240V for the stove, dryer, and water heater (if applicable), and 120V for everything else. 240V is there, in your kitchen, but your kettle can't use it.
