Similar thing happening on another site. People are acting like trans women being at heightened risk of assault in male prisons is new information, when "don't drop the soap" jokes are older than cell phones. People pretend we're not at risk of harm until it's time to threaten us with that harm.

Any "compromise" on trans rights is both deeply wrong in itself and lays groundwork for worse. Sports bans? Segregate us from part of public life, establish legal grounds for further discrimination. Healthcare bans for trans kids? More trans kids die and trans healthcare as a whole is endangered.

I think being unemployed for so long has driven me slightly mad, in the way that cabin fever does. I feel like I'm ready to do *anything* for work, and that can be a dangerous mindset for me, if left unmanaged. Good thing is, I'm still actively searching, so there's that 🫠
