I honest to God do think that's a meaningful factor in the athlete sports donor payroll rush, and that going after white-collar crime/making the stupid rich actually pay their taxes, *would* have some impact on the financial structure of big-time college sports.

Everyone says Twitter, right? Which is a bummer because it used to be really fun and essential for news. When breaking news was happening, it was a place you'd go to get on-the-ground impressions. And I say that because obviously he's done things far more serious in terms of poisoning the discourse, and the place is a cesspool for racism and misogyny and misinformation, but it's also just, like, a terrible fucking hang. Everyone either seems miserable or is determined to make other people miserable.

*Technically* not a river but I spent much of my youth in a house on a canal in Margate, Florida. All those canals are part of the Stranahan River. We had boats and jet skis going by the back of the house all day. That was kinda nice.

I think the NFL's 17th regular season game should be a "Regional Rivlary" game between AFC and NFC teams every year. Think Giants/Jets or Rams/Chargers. If you play that team once already, then you get to play twice (home and home)! Have the rivalry game on Thanksgiving Weekend. Who says no?

My theory on why this World Cup matters: Soccer is the American sports’ last frontier. It’s the only major sport where we’re still the underdogs, and that taps into our national DNA. We’re at our best as a nation when we’re punching up. We have to punch up again tonight. 🇺🇸
