About 98% of the game was completely handmade, including all the levels, code, characters, and dialogue. We only used AI for the Steam capsule art, a few graphics like achievements, and some voiceovers. However, we will include an option to turn off AI voices entirely since we understand they can be annoying to some players. This game wasn't developed by a massive studio. It's just the two of us working on it in our free time from work, and we're launching it with a $5 price tag, but should some of our games succed we will replace that little that was made by AI since we are not the biggest fans of it too

No, generative AI is not being used in the development of sirens. Artificial intelligence helps organize documents for the team and such things. We are creators who prefer the old school way. We love building worlds and characters ourselves, creating them from scratch - that's why we still make 2D concepts, textures, and only then build the 3D models on top of them.

In my personal opinion, AI is a blow to our entire industry. Many of us are losing jobs because of it, and artists who used to feel proud after weeks, months or even years of work are now being trivialized by soulless ai. That doesn't feel right at al. That's why we dont want any AI in Sirens. We want this to be our game - something we'll truly be proud and happy to put our names under.
