"They're not misunderstanding the film; they're co-opting a message"

Screencap from the interview linked in the quoted post

Marlow Stern (the interviewer): You have one of the most renowned replies in Twitter history. Elon Musk tweeted out, “Take the red pill,” then Ivanka Trump enthusiastically wrote, “Taken!” to him, and then you replied, “Fuck both of you.” I’m curious how you feel about the co-opting of “The Matrix” by those on the right who don’t really seem to understand its messaging.

Lilly Wachowski: I mean, I can’t sit in a room and explain the movie to every single person who watches it. Even if I did sit in a room with Elon Musk and Ivanka Trump — yikes — it doesn’t matter. They’re not misunderstanding the film; they’re co-opting a message. And that’s what fascists do: They co-opt the messages of progressives and use it to their benefit to confuse and obfuscate what is going on and the intention of their ideology. They do it with everything. They do it with Martin Luther King Jr. Look at how they’ve changed the idea of what antisemitism is.

Pro tip: you don’t have to comm artists to boost and support them. People claim they can’t support artists and creators because they are financially strapped, but they can still boost posts, comment, like, and in general just be supportive! It’s completely free outside of an internet connection ;)

This is the third post from this project that's been unfairly censored as some form of 'adult content' (likely because trans bodies get hit with censorship more than cis ones!), so please share this to help fight that censor. Trans men deserve our love and attention!

Indie pilots that get less than 50 million views are seen as failures. Shows with Character designs that aren’t conventionally attractive are seen as failures because it isn’t “marketable”. You people are not shareholders. Stop treating indie animation like it’s a trend. It’s annoying!

Chroma Styling.

Chroma doodle page with two different outfits. The first one, left, is an 80's inspired outfit with several clunky necklaces. Chroma has his hair up with a scrunchie and a bow. He has triangle earrings. The second one, right, Chroma is laying down on his stomach with his legs up. He had a wild haircut and wearing a headband to represent his "horns" instead of his band or a bow. The outfit has fringe and flowers.

#deltarune #deltarunechapter5spoiler #deltaruneweirdroute this ones for me ok. I have visions. Then Susie and Kris try to help brainstorm a masculine christmas-themed name only for him to say no to Santa 3 times.

A comic featuring Kris and Noelle from Deltarune on the left. Noelle is saying her line from the weird route, but Kris interrupts her and asks if she's ever considered changing her pronouns. The right then has images of Kris cutting Noelle's hair and considering whether to ask Toriel for help. The bottom has Noelle putting on a new outfit (A grey and red striped shirt and jeans)
