This was supposed to be my dinner last night — lamb kofta rissoles. I think the hospital needs to learn something about presentation.

The cultural impact of that Blackadder episode:
Daily Telegraph diary entry from 2008:

Bishop of Bath and Wells' Lingering torment of Blackadder

The legacy of the BBC's Blackadder, the historical and satirical television series, continues to torment the present Lord Bishop of Bath and Wells, the Rt Rev Peter Price.

by Tim Walker: Edited by Laura Roberts
07 December 2008 • 9:56pm

In his maiden speech in the House of Lords he said: "In the aftermath of the Blackadder television series, there are always perils for the bishops of Bath and Wells.

"I am constantly reminded of the alleged activities of one of my predecessors as a baby eater... Entering your Lordships' House has proved no exception, and the greeting from the Doorkeeper on my first day was capped only by the Right Reverend Prelate the Bishop of Southwark seeing my five week-old granddaughter arrive and remarking, 'The bishop has brought his own lunch'."

Yellow background for a solid black silhouette of a tall, skinny man in profile, wearing a hat, with a pipe sticking out of his mouth. He holds a large rectangular suitcase. A tag hangs off the bottom of the case with ‘OST1:1’ written on it.
Small text at the bottom of the image says

Sad new: John Shakespeare, my long time friend and colleague at the Sydney Morning Herald, who had retired after 39 years at the paper, died peacefully at home last night with his wife and son by his side. He was unwaveringly gracious and sanguine in the face of his prognosis, and loved by so many.

Imagine if a referendum were held in which 52% of those who voted declared that the Earth was flat. And that subsequently everyone in the UK was forced to behave as if the Earth was indeed flat, and all main parties said "Ok, flat it is. Evidence be damned." That's Brexit.
