Great last lines in comedy episodes? The ones that really finish the whole thing off perfectly. I just laughed again thinking of Tim McInnerney as Percy in Blackadder II: Money, rising out of the bed and saying to the Bishop of Bath and Wells, "It's been ... lovely working with you..."

In his maiden speech in the House of Lords he said: "In the aftermath of the Blackadder television series, there are always perils for the bishops of Bath and Wells.

"I am constantly reminded of the alleged activities of one of my predecessors as a baby eater... Entering your Lordships' House has proved no exception, and the greeting from the Doorkeeper on my first day was capped only by the Right Reverend Prelate the Bishop of Southwark seeing my five week-old granddaughter arrive and remarking, 'The bishop has brought his own lunch'."

I was confirmed by the Baby-eating Bishop, as an adult having grown up on Blackadder, and to this day I don't know how I got through it.

Brilliant. Just brilliant. Haven't laughed that loud and suddenly in a long time. I don't care that everyone in the room turned to look at me. And I don't care that I laughed my vanilla chai out of my nose either. It was worth it. Quality.
