Today's word is TREAT. Today's #BookQW is from Direct Descendant (DAW Books 2025) a contemporary fantasy taking place just west of Timmins, ON, where small town values are subject to variable definitions but all the dogs are still good dogs. They tolerated the bloodlines and Daffodil had a somewhat- threatening version of begging for treats. Dexter had come embarrassingly close to eating a train engineer who'd strayed a little too far from the station. Oh, and they were terrified of Alyx's corgis, and it was hysterically funny watching the corgis lording it over a pair of hellhounds. Well, it was funny as long as Uncle Stu didn't catch you calling them hellhounds. Having hand-raised them, he was a bit over-protective.

Daily bunny no.3454 loses another one

A bunny with a fishing rod is reeling in a fish, but a seagull steals it from him in midair, dragging the fish along with the line. Another bunny, a fishing buddy, as suffered the same fate, and is climbing out of the water having not let go of their fishing line and been pulled in. Other seagulls on the dock nearby enjoy their pilfered fishes.

Underscoring that I'm not the main demographic for modern television, I deliberately watched only four of these shows (3 in the top 50, 1 in the bottom.) And I'm not mad about that. First episode descriptions of nearly all these shows made me go "I'm never watching that." (Some, "Why would you?!")
