Nobody will want to hear this but the Spoon's in Oban has the best beer selection and only cask beer I've come across so far. Can't say I love the pub though, which has the feel of a nice American rest stop. Still, a few good and crazy cheap beers on cask and a view of the harbor so I can't complain

The 1st time I visited Scotland (Edinburgh, Inverness) I was completely unprepared for how great the beer was so I had high expectations this time (Highlands) but have barely seen anything but macro shit. Don't cry too much for me though - I've found the local drink.

Been making a lot of variations of this potato salad. Roasted potatoes, roasted chicken thigh or mushrooms, raw cabbage, tomatoes, sometimes celery, roasted zucchini, etc., juice of 3-4 limes, lots of fish sauce, a bit of garlic, lots of chilies, a little mayo. Great warm but better cold

Bus ride shift beer: new imperial stout I brewed for Berging Brouwerij (the brewery I brew my beers at but also brew part time and now also do recipe development and quality management). My own beers are ridiculously big so it's nice to be able to brew a super drinkable, delicious old school stout.
