I don’t think people understand how unusable the internet is about to become. Yes, it’s currently overrun with AI slop and bots. Just wait until AI agents become ubiquitous. The internet will be unnavigable. Consumers and businesses will suffer immensely.

I do a lot of work gathering, visualizing, and analyzing data. When somebody comes and asks me for some numbers, like "Hey can you tell me how many [X] did [Y] during [time]?" my first response is usually, "What are you trying to understand?"

This is very good. You can date the collapse in an art form to the moment individual works of art are disconnected from their audience. And the comparison of streamer content platforms to packages of bad mortgages is spot on, I suspect. “Content” serves distributors, not creators or audiences.
