Work Jolly, even sans bath, was lots of fun - amongst other things we went to the People's History Museum - but it does mean this week has been absolute chaos in my to do list. Some relief on the horizon but that doesn't do anything about it being a second weekend where I'm probably going to work.

We did community volunteering - all three of us actually as it was a dog club thing - and I was so tired on the way home I snapped at a Local Miscreant not to try and tailgate me because I had a dog and how stupid was he to try it and Local Miscreant actually took a step back

Starting my morning by taking the dog for a long walk in the park and I tell you what, the sinking feeling when you realise the drought means that nope, that's definitely not mud he's just rolled in is truly awful. Neither of us enjoy bathtime, buddy, stop doing this!

This has been a lovely weekend! After my fabulous Friday at the cinema, Saturday heralded an amazing meal out. Today we went for a long walk which was misery at times (SO HUMID) but went to Severndroog Castle & then had pints. Marvellous.

Lugged colander and dog out to fenced hired dog field for the eclipse. Colander trick worked, dog was profoundly unbothered as the sky went dark, the temperature dropped and the birds stopped singing.
