Don't forget transcripts for video and audio. These will help blind users and low-vision users, deaf and hard-of-hearing users, people with ADHD, and people with audio-processing disorders. Transcripts also benefit search engines, people in quiet spaces, and people in a hurry.

Ensure text is readable in data visualizations and information graphics. Small text is generally harder to read, and should be avoided where possible. Make sure the text is not obstructed by other chart elements, and has sufficient contrast against its background.

Quite interesting—I feel the human intelligence behind the current doc, but it also has genAI-esque bits, like tortured 3-item lists and excessive recaps. For me, this is ok. I did ask about genAI use before I saw the doc but forgot to pursue the answer. #AmEditing #Edibuddies

Caught a potential time zone error: an online event in Sept was said to start at 9 a.m. CET (which is Central European Time), but the host country would still be in CEST (summer time). A good case for 1. checking and 2. using the UTC offset. #AmEditing (Also: theclarityeditor.com/2021/07/27/e...)

Ah ha! That makes a lot of sense. I once had a manuscript with section breaks mid-paragraph, followed by a table, then section break back to the rest of the para. That must've been it! Thanks, it's a nice feeling to know 😆
