As of tonight, licenses of trans people across Kansas are being invalidated en masse, enabling the overnight criminalization of an entire group of people for going about our lives. It’s often said you never know when you’re living through history, so let me assure you: that’s what’s happening now.

It seems all Kansas-issued trans drivers' licenses are invalid, effective tomorrow It is now illegal for trans people to drive a car until they surrender their license at a DMV (that most will need to drive to) and have it reissued with the wrong gender marker This was never about woman's sports

i’m not against vaping, but man, vaping two inches from my face on the subway is a ridiculous asshole kind of move. this dude was billowing like he was auditioning for the role of haunted house fog machine. the humidity in the whole car changed, he was ruining haircuts. just jump starting the water cycle. condensation was dripping down my glasses. people were slipping off poles, it was chaos. it was like watching one man try to terraform the moon. a planet with one dense, root beer scented atmosphere blocking out the sun and choking all life.

On the eve of her 2nd gotcha day, I made Barbara shrimp. You can see how much she appreciates it.
In the foreground, a small blue bowl contains two shrimp, cut into several small pieces. Just behind the bowl, an incredibly spoiled brown tabby is curled up like a croissant on her designated chair at the dinner table, her back to the feast, disinterested. A small Lambchop toy is nestled by her feet.

The real MeToo “cancel culture” was what happened to the women and other victims who came forward. They were retraumatized, harassed, humiliated, sued, fired, and blacklisted. Then they were the subject of a revisionist history that MeToo went “too far” and deserved a reactionary backlash

From Wash Post reporter: "A federal worker sent me audio of a call that HR did today with staff about "deferred resignation" agreements offered by DOGE ... I think this is pretty well understood by now but helps confirm what many suspect

The audio goes:

Employee: Lets say I accept the agreement tomorrow - you were to rescind the agreement and they were to stop paying me on Friday ... we would have no recourse available?

HR official: Yes ... as the agreement is outlined that is absolutely correct"

I don’t have enough followers or fun facts to do the likes for lore thing, but here is my Thanksgiving turkey tip: Stuff it with apples, onion, herbs, & garlic. Roast breast down. The apples etc. will infuse it with flavor, the fatty bits will self baste the dry bits. Both will prevent drying.
