Anytime you start to think Joyce Carol Oates is kinda fun, she loads a needlessly shitty take in the cannon and reminds everyone she's just a crank.

If I'm talking about an anime or manga here, I'm going to use the title that the English licensor uses, because I want casual fans to be able to find it. If I'm on r/anime with my fellow sickos, I use the Japanese nickname a lot of the time.

well you see, riley, some of us work for the things we really, really want and care about instead of giving up at the first sign of adversity, blaming others for our own shortcomings, having a giant temper tantrum, and making our lack of grit everyone else's problem for years on end

I have a history degree, and my general ed requirements included a computer programming class, so this universe. At least in the US. Also, I would think a history course would be a lot more useful to an engineering student than programming in C was for me.

I can't decide if this show or Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky is the worst anime I watched this season. Both are pretty bad in their own way, but I expected better from this one, and the disappointment makes it feel worse than it is.

If you ask me, Bleach doesn't deserve to be on here if it couldn't deliver 10 episodes on time after a two year break. Having a month-long pause in the middle of the final battle is a momentum killer.

Quilt hanging on a card catalog. Neutral background with navy cursive appliqué “Do you hear thr people sing?” The background is embroidered in red starting light and getting bolder the lyrics to “killing in the name” the quilting effect is a focused sunburst from the center.

Some notes on mine: * The Fantastic Adventures of Unico - Mom taped this off early Nickelodeon and I watched it constantly. * Cowboy Bebop - This was on Adult Swim my senior year of college, and was my first time watching weekly. * Azumanga Daioh - Friend burned us a DVD. Still a comfort watch.

A 3x3 grid of anime key visuals. Left to right, top to bottom: The Fantastic Adventures of Unico, Cowboy Bebop, Azumanga Daioh, Oruchuban Ebichu, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Yona of the Dawn, Given, Haikyu!, and Natsume's Book of Friends.
