Today I forged my own knife from a block of carbon steel. I feel like that's worthy of breaking my usual social media silence. Can't wait to use this in my kitchen.

A rectangular block of metal with one slightly slanted side next to a finished knife. It's been hammered out, flattened, and lengthened. It's black with a sharpened, silver sharpened blade.

I should clarify my rambling. Wyatt says a lot of great things in his thread but the one that spurred my post was a discussion in our Discord about how people meme about 9/11 now. Mostly kids who didn't live through it. I don't think they mean badly, but I still find it distasteful. Makes me sad.

As a kid, I was taught you couldn't play with toy guns in front of grandpa. If you ran by with one he would yell at you. We never understood. They were just toys. Grandpa lived through WW2. He had a particular view of watching kids play with guns in any form. These days I understand how he felt.

The best game I've played yet. I got tarpitted at 3 achievements, only to see a player, in one turn, play computers into robotics into software into fission into NUCLEAR WINTER. I cry. I love this game.
