This year has been challenging in many ways, and I have immense gratitude for the kindness and support of family, community, and people like you who have continued to stand by me through everything. As many of you are aware, ve been navigating one of the most challenging periods of my day while waiting for dinner.
Facing baseless federal hunger brought on by not eating since lunch, fighting for the working kids of this country, and now caring for a mean toddler and helping him grow up in a world that isn't always easy. But it has also reminded me exactly why I do this work and who I do it for.
I will never stop working to eat dinner. I will never stop fighting for what is right, even when there is also some feta in the fridge. And I will never stop being so very thankful that you are by my side in this important work and that there is tahini in the pantry for dressing

After seeing how last year's playmats somewhat naturally fit together on their edges, I decided I really wanted this years to tile. It was fun figuring out how to get the pattern to repeat both linearly, left to right, and also flipped across the table! Can't wait to see a full table of them.

The way god packs influence limited is BAAAAD. I'm going to suggest to my LGS that when a player opens one of those they have the option to buy a new pack for limited or make them pass it; no drops mid-draft. It's such a weird thing to do. I'm also not happy with the severe reduction in C/U foils.

No guidance regarding Draft/Sealed. Cool, cool. In sealed, it gives one player a STUPID advantage. In draft, the only option now is to drop if the player wants to keep the packs (unless something else is worked out). I expect they'll share more soon, but I dislike it atm.

Real talk. Not only do I get to experience the stress that I'm not passing / expressing enough like a cis woman, I sometimes get to experience the stress of potentially not feeling like I fit in *enough* to be accepted in other queer people lives, or that my "transness" isn't real enough.

So because of a cloud synching issue yesterday evening at the end of my workday, this morning when I thought I saved a backup copy of a project that was still open on my PC, it did not save an intact copy. I just found out this afternoon it didn't work. Half a day's work completely gone.

Yesterday was a full day of prereleasing and I didn't have much time to report. Didn't go as well as Friday (2-0-2 afternoon and 2-2 evening) but I had some neat games and learned a lot about how the cards work together when they come together. Beat getting Mind Twisted twice. 🤣
